A look into why I have decided to focus on building websites with Nuxt as opposed to WordPress
John Simeone
Recently I have been building with Nuxt. Well not just Nuxt. To be more accurate I have been building with Nuxt and Laravel. Those of you who have been following me for a while will know I use Laravel heavily for web app development. And until recently this has been using the VILT (Vue, Inertia, Laravel & Tailwind) stack with the starter kit provided by Laravel. I would also pair this with a marketing site built on WordPress. But that has changed as of now. And here is why...
Now doen't get me wrong. WordPress is good. Very good. Maybe even great. But here is the problem. For me, it just is not intuitive to use. It is in fact the least logical platform I have ever built on. In contrast, Nuxt and Laravel are highly intuitive. Highly logical. And easy to build with. What's more they allow me to build quickly. Something WordPress, in theory, should also allow me to do. Unfortunately, this just isn't the case for me.
This could be a me problem. But either way, for now I will be sticking with Nuxt and Laravel.
